Oakentoon #122: The enemy from within by PeckishOwl Oakentoon #122: The enemy from within by PeckishOwl
ABOUT THIS OAKENTOON

The Arkenstone. Egg-shaped, was it? So easy to mistake it with a common egg...

Have you ever wondered how The Acorn Scene might have gone without the acorn? Here's my proposition - the term "easter egg" being an intentional inside joke as well ;) (Wink)

I almost read that they would eat the rabbit for breakfast 0.0. Most stop skipping letters.

I hope that rabbit is in a fit condition to demand compensation for a Baker's Dozen of Dwarves rifling his baggage!

Now. Now. We must not, any of us, be too quick to lay blame. ;)
Did anyone consider that the Easter Bunny might simply be carrying the acorn in his basket, which Bilbo might have given him in return for the Easter egg gift...?

I would have thought the rabbit who just walked in ended up in the stew.... (for those who have seen RA in The Crucible)

Richard Armitage discribed it as shaped like a bar of soap.

But for now: eggs, nuts acorns and Arkenstones for every one. Happy Eastern folks.:happybounce: :happybounce: :happybounce:

"Little bunny" wouldn't be a slight reference to Bilbo, would it? I know Beorn calls Bilbo a bunny in fanfictions that I've read, though I can't remember if he calls him that in the actual book.

Hehehe. :)
And how very fitting that the Easter Bunny is hopping around Erebor after Durin's Day (instead of in the spring) - now that Easter 2015 has been rescheduled to winter... ;)

I have, actually, wondered how the acorn scene might have gone. A very interesting question, that is.
