So, my dear mister Dwalin is celebrating his 10 000 followers ( be sure to visit him here 
www.facebook.com/dwalin.fundin… ) and I've proposed a Contest for the best tattoo he should have himself made to commemorate this special occasion. As my entry, I've designed this: the Ithildin Tattoo!
How does it work? As long as the sun is shining (upper half of the picture) it reads: “Let him not vow to walk in the dark...”
But as darkness falls, and the moon is high, shining down upon this tattoo, the rest of the sentence, written with ithildin ink, shall appear saying: “Let him not vow to walk in the dark, who has not seen the nightfall.”
The quote comes from "The Fellowship of the Ring" and since this sentence also has a metaphorical meaning (don’t be eager to go on a dangerous journey if you have never faced danger before), I’ve added a metaphorical symbol as well, which will appear in the moonlight – the symbol of the Hidden Door from the Thrór’s map, the aim and the point of no return of this Unexpected Journey In The Dark. Oh, and there’s a raven of course, since dwarves and the ravens are friends.
